What I Needed, I Now Hold Space For

If you’ve been surviving on hyper-independence and silence, I get it. I built this space for the ones like us—the ones who had to figure it all out alone.

My name is Carter Bain, and I want you to know—I see you.

If you’ve been through narcissistic abuse or carry the weight of complex trauma, then you probably know what it’s like to constantly question yourself, to walk on eggshells even when no one’s around, or to feel like your emotions are “too much” to be held by anyone. Maybe safety was never modeled for you therefore love came with conditions. And maybe, somewhere along the way, you learned to survive by shrinking parts of yourself.

I know that pain—not just professionally, but personally. I know what it’s like to live in survival mode, to feel both invisible and exposed, and to carry stories that were too heavy to name. That’s why this work means so much to me. Therapy with me isn’t about diagnosing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about building a space where you can finally feel safe enough to exhale. We go at your pace. We honor your parts. We work with your nervous system, not against it.

You don’t have to keep surviving the way you always have because there is a way out. Healing is possible—and you don’t have to do it alone.
